An anti-glare screen is a device that you attach to your computer to reduce eye strain. The screen filters out the glare from the sun and other bright light sources so you can work more efficiently for longer periods.

If you use your device for navigation, reading email, checking social media, playing games, or doing any other type of activity where clear vision is important, you should clean the screen at least once every week. (Of course, if you are a graphic designer or a photographer, you should do this much more often.)
Although this may be true, it is not necessarily so. The efficiency of an anti-glare screen is determined by the screen surface and the amount of light scattered off the surface. This is because the haze value of the anti-glare screen only affects the light reflected from the surface. Therefore, the efficiency of an anti-glare screen is not affected by the screen surface.
If the haze value of the anti-glare screen is too high, the light scattering will be too large and the screen will be more visible than the anti-glare screen.

Displays with matte screen finish have an additional advantage: they are easier to clean. Displays with glossy screen finish have several advantages over matte: Glossy screens reflect almost no light. This makes images very sharp and clean.

Touch screens are another story. They require a different type of screen surface and coating. Glossy touch screens are very common and they work great for finger swipes and such. But, they are almost impossible to use with stylus (pen/pencil) input. That’s because the tip of the stylus will quickly wear off the glossy coating and you’ll have to keep replacing the stylus which will be very annoying.
Again, they are more useful than glossy screens in brighter rooms or outdoors, but not by much.
Finally, there are screens with a matte finish. These are considered the best option for most users. They are less reflective than glossy screens, have no added graininess like matte-coated ones do, and have a very low haze (1-2%) surface finish. As a result, you can use them in very bright rooms (next to a window without curtains/blinds) or outdoors without any image degradation.
How To Choose The Right Screen
It’s difficult to eliminate all glare. What is the difference between matte and semi-gloss? Matte screens have a lower level of gloss than semi-gloss screens.
They also tend to have a lower level of reflectivity. What is the difference between a glossy and a matte finish? Glossy screens have a higher level of reflectivity than matte screens. What is the difference between color accuracy and color uniformity? Color accuracy is how closely a particular monitor can reproduce a specific color.
Besides, even with these types of treatments, there may still be times when you have to use a tool like an eyedropper to read the screen.
What I would suggest is you get a copy of your client’s current monitor brochure and read it carefully. If there isn’t one, then you should contact the manufacturer and ask for their literature.
Even if there is a current brochure, keep in mind that manufacturers often change their product information at the drop of a hat, so make sure you get the most up-to-date material you can find.
