This is caused by the liquid crystals in the screen becoming aligned one way or another when they are exposed to an electric field.
VA panels don’t suffer from this issue because they have a grid pattern etched into the glass which cancels out the electric field and keeps the liquid crystals in a completely random state. This makes VA panels perfect for HDTVs, computer monitors, and all other high-resolution, high-definition viewing applications.
A VA panel has a much larger color gamut than a TN panel. This means that it can reproduce much more colors than a TN panel. For example, a VA panel can reproduce 15% more reds than a TN panel. This will make the picture look much more realistic.
There are a few downsides though. For one thing, VA panels are currently more expensive than TNs. Secondly, they are heavier too, which makes them harder to mount.
