Gary Oldman is always a delight, and Ed Skrein delivers a goosebumps-inducing performance. Another Netflix original movie.

69. Stonehurst Sanctuary

The story is about a young doctor who finds a job in a mental institution. He soon discovers that he likes one of his colleagues. As the story progresses, he discovers that all is not as it seems in the orphanage.

It really is an exciting and strange experience that won’t let you go, even after the movie is over. This is another movie that came out during the Netflix original movie boom.

In this film, Michael Shannon plays the main character in a more relaxed and understated way. It’s a slow movie, so if you like good characters and slow drama, you might like this movie.

60. Longest day

If you like a bit of nostalgia and old black and white movies, you should definitely watch this movie before it disappears from your Netflix library.

59. I saw the devil

This is another one of those situations where I can’t give too much information about the movie without spoiling it for you. Kofi Outlaw of Screen Rant describes it this way: I Saw the Devil takes a serial killer thriller and turns it into a reflection on the corrupting nature of evil that is both disturbing and fascinating. This film is not for the faint of heart. Another viewer said it was one of the most disgusting movies he had ever seen, but he still gave it an 8/10. If you are looking for a great Korean movie that will entertain you for more than two hours, then you should definitely watch this movie.

The story is about a mother, played by Sandra Bullock, five years after a phenomenon decimated much of society. She tells of her attempts to find refuge and safety in an apocalyptic world where what you see can lead to death. Now that the hype has died down, you can watch it without the social influences ringing in your ears.

57. O Brother, Where Art Thou?

This movie is full of music, charm and unforgettable characters. Even if you’ve already seen this movie, it’s worth a second, third and fourth viewing.

58. The girl with the dragon tattoo

This is the first film in the Millennium trilogy. It is a Swedish film based on the novel of the same name by the famous Swedish writer Stieg Larsson. It tells the story of a female hacker who helps a journalist solve the mystery of the death of a young woman in her 40s. Both this film and the American remake are worth seeing. The books aren’t bad either.

The story is about a group of scavengers who stumble upon a strange man named Killie, who may prove to be the key to their survival and that of all humanity.

56. Mr. Person

If you like arthouse films that make you think about life and instill some sort of existential angst, then this film is for you. It may seem overly pretentious to some, but in Mr. Nobody, Jared Letos played one of his best roles.

The story is set in 2092, when man has become immortal, and the last mortal man on earth reflects on his past and all the choices he has made and could have made. It is a story of reflection and how our choices shape us today.

55. Tallulah

This is a heartwarming comedy-drama with lots of twists and turns.  Another Netflix original movie that deserves your time and bandwidth.

54. CaliberCaliber

Caliber is a British thriller produced by and for Netflix. It tells the story of two childhood friends who go hunting in a remote area of the Scottish Highlands. As in most thrillers, not everything is what it seems. Their loyalty, spirit and strength are put to the test when they are forced to survive a situation none of them were prepared for. I know this description might be too vague, but if I give too much information, it would spoil the plot of the film.

This movie is definitely worth it. The 94% rating on Rotten Tomatoes should be enough to convince you to go see the film.

53. Rising Kingdom

This film probably deserves to be further down the list. It was one of the best films of 2012. It tells the story of two teenagers in love who decide to run away together. Unfortunately, a major storm hits the island, forcing a group of adults to organize an expedition to find the two lovers. Since this is a Wes Anderson film, expect a colorful array of characters, sets and costumes. If you haven’t seen this movie yet, you should as soon as possible.

52. Reconciliation

If you like British romantic movies, then this movie will not disappoint you. This is a multi-award winning film, and probably contains some of Kira’s best roles.

The film is based on Stephen King’s story of the same name and was released in 2017, during the Netflix boom of original films. The story is about a proud rancher who plots the murder of his wife for financial and personal gain. He also persuaded his teenage son to join the project. Their actions lead to dark and unexpected results that tear the entire family apart. A gripping and dark story with an excellent performance by Thomas Jane in the title role.

48. The repelling eight

Along the way, they meet another black Civil War veteran and a man who claims to be the sheriff. Together they try to find shelter for the winter night on a parking lot near a mountain pass. Unfortunately, not everything is what it seems ……

This is an original Netflix movie, and it’s a shame there won’t be a sequel soon.
