Our Policy Philosophy

What we’ve found when taking a look at other policies of our competitors is that there are many restrictions and return policies that are not clear, and gray market items out there that lead to a poor customer experience. When we first started back in 2002, we wanted to make sure the customer experience when making a purchase was second to none. So in our efforts you’ll find a clearly outlined 30 day return policy, a concise payment and shipping policy, and never sell refurbished or gray market items, ever.

We also want to make sure you can always get in touch with us when you have a question. Some of our competitors don’t even list a phone number or tell you they will reply to emails in 24-48 hours. Up to two days to return a email? That’s crazy. We reply within hours of receipt, if not minutes! Our answer is to make sure our contact info is clearly available, from our address to our phone contacts, to our email contacts.

Our product pricing is always what it says, we don’t play any games like “to get this price you need to purchase this accessory”, or “sorry to get this price you have to wait 4 weeks for delivery”. If we state a price on our website, you get it delivered at that price, full manufacturer's USA warranty and all included accessories in the package, shipped fast and with full insurance.

Our Shipping Policy

Within the United States:
SAME DAY SHIPPING BEFORE 3PM EST! We use FEDEX for shipping inside the USA. We will do our best to ship same-day as order is placed, but sometimes depending on item: within 1 day of purchase. Computer systems do not qualify for same day shipping. We do offer expedited services to help ship computers out faster, but please expect 3-5 days before shipment of computer. If anything occurs and we cannot ship within that time period, we'll let you know. We have 2-Day, 3-Day and Overnight FEDEX Services as well. We cannot bill shipping fee to your FEDEX account. All items are shipped fully insured and is included in our shipping fee. You may email us for tracking info, but please allow at least a day or two to have it available. You will be emailed a tracking number as soon as your order is shipped. We are located in Fairfield, New Jersey.

Outside the USA, International:
We do ship internationally, but we DO NOT under any circumstances ship to Indonesia. We will do our best to ship within 1-3 days of purchase. If anything occurs and we cannot ship within that time period, we'll let you know.For international orders, we will ship via FEDEX. We are not responsiable for any duties, taxes or additional carrier fees that you may incur when importing your purchased product. All items are shipped with full insurance and is included in the quoted shipping fee we will provide you. We will not mis-document any information required on customs forms, it is illegal, we must fill in proper information. When shipped using FEDEX, a Tracking Number is always available. We reserve the right to not accept an order that ships to a country we are unable to ship to safely.

 

Our Payment Policy

We accept Visa, Mastercard & American Express Direct. We also accept Paypal (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover)/ eCheck for a alternate payment method. Paypal is the largest and safest method of online payment. It only takes a few moments to sign up, and you have added fraud protection as well when you use paypal. If you pay using Paypal eCheck, we require it to clear before sending out payment. Please paypal to henry@4VideoEquipment.com. We also accept Postal Money Orders or Certified Bank Checks. Please allow 3-5 days for Money Order / Bank Check to clear. NJ Residents please note that 7% sales tax will be added to your order. We reserve the right to deny any payment or ship-to address we feel uncomfortable with. We take every step to prevent fraud, and thank you for your cooperation.

 

Our Returns & Exchanges Policy

We offer a 30-DAY MONEY BACK GUARANTEE** (US Sales Only, International Customers/Orders DO NOT qualify). Shipping is non-refundable and there is NO restocking fee pending all terms are met (Please see below).

**We DO NOT accept returns on the following:
Software or Software-Related items when Opened, Special Orders (A Special Order is defined as product not in stock at the moment and is specifically ordered for the customer), Cables & Adapters, Apple Computer Systems, Custom computer systems, Computer systems, PNY Video Cards, Microphones and Transmitters, Hard Drives (Data Storage), Cables & Adapters, Training, DVD Training, Hardware w/ Missing components, Installation Services, Glidecam's V-8, V-16, V-20, V-25, VistaCrane, and accessories for the rigs are also non-returnable.

The following products will be accepted pending 15% Restocking Fee: Cameras and Camcorders (Within 7 Days), Camera Bags (Must have all packing), Tripods and Accessories, Products by Gefen.

PLEASE NOTE: ALL BLACKMAGIC DESIGN AND AJA Products will incurr a 10% restocking fee for return or exchange (opened or unopened). This is because there is a high cost involved with re-inspecting and packing costs that the manufactuer charges us.

Returning Items:
Items must be returned in like-new condition with ALL components. If any items are missing we cannot take a return. We will accept a return (upon approval) within 30 days of Date of Order, although you will be required to ship it back to us at your expense as well as request an RMA number.

How to Obtain a RMA Number:
Please contact customer service at 201.425.7456 to obtain a RMA number. We will refuse all shipments of returned product without the proper RMA information. If you received Free Shipping on your order and return it to us, the amount of shipping will be deducted from your refund. Once a RMA request has been made with our customer service department, please allow 2-4 business days to receive RMA Number. Please make sure you write the RMA # clearly outside the box, as unmarked packages will likely be refused. Once we receive back your return, please allow up to 5-7 business days to inspect and refund you. If any components are missing during inspection we will notify you and charge you for items missing if not returned within 5 days. RMA authorizations are valid for 10 days after issued.. ALL Original Boxes and Packing material must be returned or you will be subject to a 15% additional restocking fee or refusal of return.

Defective Products:
If you find it to be defective, contact our support department, we can send you a fast replacement. You will not be charged for the replacement shipping, and in most cases we can pay for the defective product going back to us. Typcially all replacements are sent via Fedex Ground, and ship out the Same or Following business day once we are alerted of the defective item.

Exchanges:
If you would like to exchange a product for something else, or store credit. You must do so within 30-days of date of order. The same guidelines for returning product apply, such as all packing material must be present or a restock fee may apply. To request a exchange please contact our customer service department.

 

Our Used/Refurbished Policy

We only sell brand new, non gray market, unopened, with warranty, non-refurbished equipment and software. If it is one of those types of products, we will note it in the description. Generally, Adobe Premiere that is included is FULL RETAIL VERSION. Other software in the packages may be a "light" version. Check item description for full details. We do not sell "educational" or "bundled" packaged items as full retail items. (Bundle or Educational items differ from standard retail packaging) We also do not sell refurbished items as new. We're not that type of company, and we would never even think of doing such.

 

Educational Discounts

In most cases there is some sort of a educational discount. Some have set educational prices, and we should have listed. You can email us to see if this product qualifies (if not already noted). If it does qualify, then 2 forms of proof that show you are currently a staff or student at a accredited institution. Sometimes even if a product does not have a discount built into their product, we can offer free shipping or a discounted shipping rate to help. We used to be students, so we know how tight budgets can be!

Who can Qualify?
Schools, universities, school districts, qualify by furnishing a purchase order with acceptable billing, shipping, and accounts payable information or other payment terms.
Teachers, school administrators and students may qualify by furnishing proof of status with any two of the following forms of identification below.

What Proof do I Need?

  • Valid school or organization identification card from a qualifying institution
  • Shipping and billing address to a qualifying institution (including classrooms, administrative buildings, dorm residence, etc.)
  • Qualifying e-mail adress (.edu or .gov) or other contact information
  • Course syllabus, outline, transcript or other collateral material demonstrating institutional use of the requested item withtin a qualified institution.
